Archie E. Cagle, 87, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 6:10 P.M. Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Archie was born on April 24, 1932 in Sardis, Mississippi to Marshall and Ada Cagle. He bought Howard D. Happy Company of Paducah in 1971, changing the name to Cagle Business Systems in 1982. He retired in 1992 but later purchased and operated Odorite Fragrance, which he renamed C-Air. He finally retired in 2016 after selling the business. Archie was a member of the Concord Lions Club, Rotary Club, and Jaycees. He was a Duke of Paducah, a Paducah Ambassador, a Kentucky Colonel and a volunteer with Lourdes Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah.
Mr. Cagle is survived by his wife of 65 years, Willodine Hilliard Cagle; his sons, Phillip G. Cagle, of Paducah, Rick Cagle (Sandra), of Saulsbury, Tennessee; his sister, Louease Turner, of Jacksonville, Florida; his grandsons, Corey Cagle (Wesley), of Bryan, Texas, Steven A. Cagle (Rose), of Mission, Texas, Eric Cagle, of Jackson, Tennessee, Matthew Cagle (Mandy), of Mt. Washington, Kentucky; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cagle was preceded in death by his son, Steven Everette Cagle; his parents, Marshall Donald Cagle and Ada Bray Cagle; his grandson, Todd Cagle; and two brothers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the funeral home.
