Charles Stephen Duncan, age 87 of Paducah passed away at 5:14 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Charles was a long time faithful member of Gospel Assembly Church where he served as trustee for many years. Charles was a graduate of Heath High School and served in the United States Army. Charles was retired from Boyles Brokerage where he served many years as a salesman and co-owner.
Charles was a gentle, fatherly “spirited” man serving his fellow man in many different ways, many times in unnoticed ways and means. It could be said of Charles that he was “A Servant of all Servants.”
Survivors include one daughter, Paula (Dave) Sikes and one son, Stephen Reed (Rebekah) Duncan both of Paducah; two grandchildren, Reed (Ashley) Duncan and Kathryn Duncan; one sister, Vivian (Don) Driver, Paducah, KY; one nephew, Barry (Lisa) Driver and one great nephew, Adam Driver.
Preceding in death was his wife of 63 years, Bertha Mae (Reed) Duncan; parents; Sam & Lottie (Wilkins) Duncan.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Gospel Assembly Church located at 2100 Ohio Street with Revs. Encil Edmonds and Mike Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday, October 21, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the church.
