Agnes Chappell

Loraine Winn Summers Bell Chappell, born March 29, 1929, completed her work here on earth and joined her beautiful, rich, alto voice with the Angel Choir on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Superior Care Home.
She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a long-time member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Loraine was a 1947 graduate of Lone Oak High School. She sang in the Adult Choir for twenty years, taught Sunday School for thirty years and served as WMU Director for many years. She has attended the Oaks Church of God for the last several years.
Loraine was retired from Lone Oak Elementray Cafeteria, but her greatest joy was being a Wife, Homemaker, Mother and Nanny!
She is survived by three sons, R.L. Summers of Paducah, Dr. Chuck (Bonita) Summers of Henderson, KY, Rev. Richard (Lois) Summers of Frankfort, KY; two daughters, Sue (Richard) Dobbs and Betty (Jamie) Stewart both of Paducah. She was the proud "Nanny" of five grandchildren; Tammy (Brian) Walker, Dr. Chris (Leslie) Mathews, Rev. Stephen (Claudia) Summers, Jenni (Jeremy) Shannon and Dr. Coran (Rebecca) Stewart; nine great-grandchildren, Kristen Walker, Ellen Mathews, Becca Mathews, Natalie Mathews, Hannah Summers, Crosley Shannon, August Stewart, Asher Shannon and Henry Shannon; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnett & Lela Winn; first husband, Robert Summers Jr (the father of her five children; second husband, John Bell; third husband, Leonard Chappell; two sisters, one brother and two grandchildren, Tony and Corey Summers.
Services will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
The family request memorial be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the donors church or charity of choice.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Superior Care Home for their loving care of our Mom and Nanny.
