Bettie Melber

December 30, 1929 — April 26, 2018

Bettie Melber age 88, of Paducah, passed away at 11:01 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Lourdes Hospital. Bettie was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. She was a retired bookkeeper for Frank Melber Excavating Company. Bettie was active in mission work with the church, especially working with church camps at Jonathan Creek. She loved gardening and flowers and sharing with people.

Survivors include one daughter, Susan Knight and husband Steve of Paducah; one son, David Melber and wife Tera of Atlanta, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Jay (Marion) Knight, Gemma Knight, Alex (Kristin) Melber, Kelly Melber, Jonathan Melber, Maritess Melber, Jonas Melber, Isaac Melber; two great-grandchildren, Layla Knight and Avery Knight.

Preceding in death were her husband, Frank Melber: parents, James Everett Gray & Ima V. Harper Gray.

A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Revs. David Melber and Bob Martin officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
