Brenda Crass

Brenda Poat Crass, age 68, of Paducah, KY, passed away at 3:45 am on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Superior Care Home. Mrs. Crass was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, an operator then service representative for BellSouth Telecommunications and a member of CWA Union and the Telephone Pioneers.

Mrs. Crass is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gerald Crass; one daughter, Krista Crass Taylor and husband Tony of Paducah, KY; one son, David Crass and wife Amy of Paducah, KY; three grandchildren, Austin Crass and wife Mindy of Paducah, KY, Peyton Taylor of Paducah, KY, Hunter Taylor of Paducah, KY; one great-granddaughter, Macie Crass of Paducah, KY; three sisters, Shirley Coleman and husband Bob of Paducah, KY, Marilyn Wright and husband Phil of Paducah, KY, Deborah Brandon and husband Jeff of Paducah, KY; four brothers, James Poat and wife Shirley of Marshall County, KY, Leroy Poat of Paducah, KY, Cletus Poat and wife Connie of Paducah, KY, Robert "Bobby" Poat and wife Vickie of Paducah, KY; several nieces and nephews.


Mrs. Crass was preceded in death by her parents, John Melvin and Essie Marie Gibson Poat.


Funeral mass for Brenda will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Rev. Brad Whistle and Rev. J. Patrick Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.


Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m.
