Donald Wright Sr

Donald E. Wright Sr., 86 of Paducah , Ky passed away at 4:16 a.m. Tuesday, September 26, at Baptist Health Paducah. Don was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church, where he was a member of the "Notes of Joy" and took interest in mission work and witnessing for his Savior. He worked for 32 years at Illnois Central Railroad and was retired from GAF where he served as a laboror. Don enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing tennis, and Campers on Mission for many years. Having his family around was special to him.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy (Dan) Phelps and Lisa Hudson both of Paducah, KY; one son, Donnie (Tessie) Wright Jr. of Boaz, KY; six grandchildren, Sarah (Daniel) Alvey, Luke (Nicole) Phelps, Catherine Wright, Aaron (Stephanie) Hudson, Hannah (fiance', Justin Keeling) Hudson, and Carson Wright; six great-grandchildren,Claire, Lillian, Abby, Davis, Ayedan and Wyatt; several neices and nephews.

Preceding in death was wife, June Bynum Wright; parents, Alton Wright & Lois Stone Wright, one sister, Alta Dickerson.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Summerlin and Rev. Mike Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Septemer 28, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
