Edmond Alvey Jr. 91, of Paducah passed away at 4:13 PM Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.

Mr. Alvey Jr. was a devout Christian; loving husband and cared for his family dearly, he was a retired Boilermaker from TVA, served in the United States Navy, longtime member of Bryant Ford Baptist Church and an avid member of Gideon's International for over 60 years.

Mr. Alvey Jr. is survived by four sisters, Aline Butler of Nashville, TN, Elwanda Kern and Phyllis Kay Cox both of Paducah and Janice Ray (Leslie) Ellis of Mayfield; four brothers, Billy Joe Alvey, Ernest Lee (Phyllis) Alvey and Charles (Glenda) Alvey all of Paducah and Kenneth Alvey of New Braunfels, TX and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Alvey Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Thornton & Eva Bobo Alvey; and his wife of 67 years Mildred Champion Alvey.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Rev. WH Shumaker, Rev. DeWayne Chadwick and Rev. Paul Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah. Friends may call after 6:00 PM Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
