Elizabeth Hibbs

October 27, 1930 — November 28, 2015

Elizabeth L. Hibbs, 85 of Paducah died at 7:50 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Brookdale Assisted Living. Elizabeth was a long time member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church where she taught the pre-school Sunday School Class for many years. She was founder of the Compassion Friends in 1975 and stayed active for many years. Elizabeth loved to travel on church bus whether it was a sports event or out to eat. Elizabeth enjoyed her time at Brookdale Assisted Living and made many friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne (Steve) Butler of Murfreesboro, TN, Sondra (Billy) Cook of Clarksville, TN; one son, Mike (Kathy) Hibbs of Paducah, KY; three grandchildren, Jason (Toni) Hibbs, Jennifer (Eric) Lamphere and Christopher Butler; three great-grandchildren, Owen Michael Hibbs, Bella Grace Lamphere and Emerson "Emme" Caroline Hibbs; four sisters, Betty Deweese, Sue (Harold) Downing, Nancy Wood, and Peggy (Jerry) Kinsey; three brothers, Jimmy (Phyllis) Travis, Jerry (Peggy) Travis and Larry (Linda) Travis; several neices and nephews.

Preceding in death was a daughter, Sherry Hibbs; her parents, Willard Lee Travis & Annice Lorene Baker Travis, two brothers, Donald Neil Travis and Robert (Bobby) Glen Travis; one great-grandaughter, Grace Kathryn Lamphere.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home
