Elsie Parker

March 18, 1925 — May 8, 2016

Elsie Gardner Parker, 91, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, May 08, 2016 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center of Lourdes Hospital. She was retired from the Paducah City School System where she was a Teacher's Aid for Whiteside Elementary and Cooper/Whiteside Elementary Schools and also was a Hairdresser and worked for Youngbloods in Paducah. Elsie was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was a avid Artist and enjoyed taking art classes.

She is survived by her husband, Bailey Parker of Paducah, Kentucky; two daughters, Donna Nicholson and husband Ted of Lexington, Kentucky and Cheryl Parvin and husband Roy of Ledbetter, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Chad Vaughn and wife Stacy, Jackelyn Blues and husband Andy, Karen Coffman and husband Barrett, Susan Parvin, Amy Wood and husband Jonathan; thirteen great grandchildren, MaKayla Shelton, Bailey Vaughn, Jordan Duncan, Lydia Blues, Andrew Blues, Bailey Coffman, Jack Parker Coffman, Milbrey Ann Coffman, William Coffman, Abby Wood, Mary Wood, Kaylee Wood and Sam Wood; several nieces and nephews.

Elsie was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Little and Ruth Dacus. Her parents were William Thomas Gardner and Ruby May Dunaway Gardner.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the Lone Oak Chaple of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. John Smithmier officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to, Lourdes Hospice, P.O. Box 7100 Paducah, KY 42002 or to the Lebanon United Methodist Church, 4620 A.T. Massa Drive, Paducah, KY 42003.
