Services for Ethel "Dolly" Ray, 91, of Paducah will be at noon Friday at Burks Chapel AME Church with the Revs. James Carter and Rita Story officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ray died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday at Lourdes hospital.
A native of McCracken County, she attended Woodlawn School and Lincoln High School. Mrs. Ray was a lifelong member of Hills Chapel AME Church, where she was president of the Willie Titsworth Missionary Society for more than 20 years, Stewardess and Sunday school superintendent.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Hammonds of Washington and Barbara Townsley of Paducah; a son, Aaron Ray of Akron, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Aaron "Jake" Ray; a son, Nathaniel Ray; eight brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren. Her parents were Goode and Georgia Bell Senter.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Mundy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
