Frank Melber

Frank Melber, 88, of Paducah, KY passed away at 8:40 a.m. Sunday, August 02, 2015 at the Superior Care Home of Paducah. He was a native of Paducah. Frank was the retired owner and operator of Frank Melber Excavating Company. He was a member and Deacon of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Frank was a 1943 graduate of Lone Oak High School and served in the United States Army.

Frank is survived by his wife of 67 years, Bettie Marie Gray Melber of Paducah, KY; daughter, Susan Melber Knight and husband Steve of Paducah, KY; son, John David Melber and wife Tera of Louisville, KY; eight grandchildren, Jay Knight and wife Marion, Gemma Knight, Alex Melber and wife Kristin, Kelly Melber, Jonathan Melber, Maritess Melber, Jonas Melber and Isaac Melber; two great grandchildren, Layla Knight and Avery Knight.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. His parents were Frank Martin Melber and Nellie Coleman Melber.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Williams and Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Private burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
