Gene Evens, 93, of Paducah, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Life Care Center in LaCenter.

Mr. Evens was a chemical engineer with B. F. Goodrich and a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.

Surviving is wife, Dell Evens; four children, Lynn (Mark) Link, Anna (Stephen) Travers, Charles (Patti) Evens, Dawn (Fred) Poston; ten grandchildren; Melissa Stewart, Courtney Link, Joshua Travers, Caleb Travers, Katie Jenkins, Samuel Evens, Christopher Poston, Jonathan Poston, Elena Armstrong, Sean Poston; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Evens and Hazel M. Potter Evens; one brother; and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Friday, September 27, 2019 in the Carson Chapel at First Baptist Church Paducah with the Rev. Fred Poston officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family from 12:00pm to service hour on Friday at the church.
