Harold Newton

Harold R. Newton, 75, of Paducah passed away at 11:22 AM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Baptist Health of Paducah.
Mr. Newton was a retired employee of the City of Paducah where he worked for 23 years. He was a Veteran of the US Army where he retired after 30 years of service as Sgt. 1st Class, serving in both Vietnam and Desert Storm, and he was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Hong T. "Lynn" Newton of Paducah; two sons, Billy Ray Newton, Chris Alan Newton and wife Dawn, both of Paducah; two brothers, Richard Newton and wife Glenda, Steven Newton and wife Kathy, all of Paducah; three grandchildren, Bailee, Peyton, Isaac; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Allard and Oma Dell (Saltzgiver) Newton; one brother, Leon Newton; and one sister, Norma Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Jared Hayes officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August 19, 2016 at the funeral home.
