Harold Seaford Sanders, 90, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, In.
He was born on November 10, 1924 in Mayfield, KY to the late Zippy Hazel and George Dewey Sanders. He was formerly a self employed electrician and was of the Baptist faith. Harold was known for his love of guns, ballroom dancing and his loving generosity.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Barney Lee Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Sanders; a son, James (Joyce) Sanders of Indianapolis, IN; daughters, Glenda (Danny) Trout of Herrin, IL and Nancy (Michael) McElwain of Madisonville; step-sons, Jimmie (Beth) Nickell of Elizabethtown, KY and Douglas (Patty) Nickell of Birmingham, AL; step-daughters, Elizabeth Pace of Hopkinsville, KY; sister, Josephine Bullard of Pekin, IL; numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of life for the family will be held on Saturday. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
