Joseph Beemer

January 2, 1939 — December 2, 2015

Joe Beemer, 76 of Paducah died Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in an accident along with his wife, Cindy Beemer in Lexington, KY. Joe was a native of Union City, TN and a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. He was retired from U.S. Food Service and was a proud U.S. veteran of U.S. Army and U. S. Air Force and was involved in Bay of Pigs Invasion. Joe was currently serving as secretary of the Lone Oak Lions Club, served as past President and currently serving as zone chairman and was chairman of the Lions Club Steam and Gas show this past September.

Survivors include three daughters, Virginia "Gina" Beemer, Orlando, FL, Stephanie L. Fryar, Palm Harbor, FL, Angela Beemer, Mint Hill, NC; one son, Sgt. First Class Joseph C. Beemer, Jr. now actively serving in the military; one step-daughter, Jennifer Cooper Bradford (Matt), Lexington, KY and one step-son, John Cooper(Barbara) Middletown, DE; six grandchildren, Jessica Pettengill, Rebecca Chandler, Rachel Sermons, Cody Chandler, Mackenzie Fryar and Bradley Duke; one great-granddaughter, Rebekah Fryar, six step-grandchildren, Will Pitts, Ian Pitts, Spencer Pitts, Nicki Pitts, Zackery Cooper and Jeffrey Cooper,

Preceding in death were his parents, John W. Beemer Sr, & Clarice Britt Beemer; one daughter, Natalie Jane Chandler; and one brother John W. Beemer Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service time of 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.

A joint entombment with Cindy Beemer will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors .
