Kathy Wooten

January 21, 1954 — March 17, 2017

Kathy Wooten, 63, of Paducah, formerly of Brookport passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Mrs. Wooten formerly worked in the human resources department at Heil Beauty Supply and was a member of Waldo Baptist Church. She was a 1972 graduate of Brookport High School. She loved the Kentucky Wildcats and St. Louis Cardinals.

Surviving is her husband of 29 years, Richard Wooten of Paducah; one son, Alex (Katelin) Wooten of Brookport; two stepdaughters, Joni (Stanley) Reed and Beth (Joe) Milam both of Paducah; two brothers, Victor (Kimberlee) Atwell of Kokomo, IN and David (Lisa) Atwell of Hickory, KY; five grandchildren, Lucas Reed, Aaron Reed, Sarah Reed, Gabe Milam, and Zach Milam; three nieces, Ali Davis, Lauren Atwell, and Erin Riedel; and two nephews, Casey Atwell and Dustin Atwell.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Betty (Wayne) Harmon; her father, Herbert Atwell; two nephews, Bradley Atwell and Josh Atwell; one uncle, Frank Copeland; and one aunt, Helen Copeland.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Trad York officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pall Bears will be Lucas Reed, Aaron Reed, Joe Milam, Stanley Reed, Casey Atwell, and Gabe Milam.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to McCracken County Humane Society at 4000 Coleman Rd. Paducah, KY 42001 or Project Hope Humane Society at 1698 W 10th St. Metropolis, IL 62960.
