Lena Meek

Lena E. Meek, 90, of Paducah, KY., died Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Baptist Health Park Tower in Louisville, KY.

Mrs. Meek was a devoted and loving homemaker who enjoyed cooking, reading, and listening to classical music. She was a member of Christian Assembly Church of Millstadt, Illinois.

Surviving are her daughter Emily Suzanne Gillespie and husband Lyle of Louisville, Ky.; three grandsons, Aaron Lyle Gillespie, Ryan Ellis Gillespie and his wife Elizabeth, Aaron Michael Gutknecht; and one great-grandson, Ellis Noel Gillespie, all of Louisville, KY; and many other precious family members.

Mrs. Meek was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Noel W Meek; her parents, Ellis and Gencie Thomas; two sisters, Emma Sue Coy, and Wilma South; and an aunt, Lola Good.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Steve Coy and Lyle Gillespie officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
