Lillie Anderson

March 8, 1921 — January 19, 2016

Lillie B. Anderson, age 94, of Paducah passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, 10:35 p.m. at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center with several of her children by her side.

Lillie or "MaDear" as she was often called was a loving Mother and Foster Mother to many. She was a pastry chef and general cook at the Ninth Street House until her retirement.

She was an active member of over 55 years with the New Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, where she wore many hats from serving as Director of the Usher Board, singing in the church choir, serving on the Mother's Board and offering her culinary expertise in the kitchen. She was also member of the Interdenominational Union Ushers where she served as president.

She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew Davis, Tom and Rosie P. Wright, Sr., her husband, Otey G. Anderson, Five Sons, James Lee, James (Jimmy) Harold, Otey, John and Nathaniel; two brothers James Davis and her twin brother, Willie Davis; two Sisters, Helen Bass and Leola Mitchell.

Surviving are two daughters, Geneva Fisher, Paducah and Ruth Jones of Lavergne, TN; seven sons, William Anderson of Paducah, Bobby (Charlett) Anderson of Poplar Bluff, MO, Reverend Alfred (Shelia) Anderson, Perry (Sandra) Anderson, Darrell Anderson, Larry Anderson and Louis Harris all of Paducah, KY; One Brother, Tom (Beverly) P. Wright, Jr.; 49 Grandchildren; over 111 Great Grandchildren; over 20 Great- Great Grandchildren,; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016, 12 noon, at the Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Alfred Anderson and Reverend Fred Ford will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
