Mary Street

January 11, 1922 — March 2, 2017

Mary Nancy (Jolley) Street, 95, of Paducah, died March 2, 2017, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

She was the retired bookkeeper of the former Jimmy's Market in Future City and retired secretary for Milburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She previously taught Sunday school at the church and had been a faithful member for more than 56 years.

Mrs. Street was a member of the Concord Homemakers. She loved attending church, tending to her rose garden, fishing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Street was born Jan. 11, 1922, in Charleston, Mo. She was the third of five children of Francis Roy and Mary Evelyn (Woods) Jolley. In 1940, she graduated from Thebes High School. On Feb. 23, 1946, she married Chester Otto Street, and they spent the next 65 years by each other's side. They settled in Paducah in 1952.

Survivors include two sons, Randy Street and his wife, Cathy, of Hardin, and Ronald Street and his wife, Karen, of Heath; one daughter, Kim Street of Paducah; daughters-in-law Ginger Street, Melissa Street and Jenny Higgins; seven grandchildren, Libby Turner and her husband, Bill, Robert Lemons and his wife, Kim, Ryan Street and his wife, Bekah, Shelley Byrne and her husband, Paul, Randy C. Street, Kari Street, and Kristi Street; and eight great-grandchildren, Hillary Turner, Isaiah Wren, Kady and Zack Lemons, Jack, Jetson and Penny Street, and Drew Byrne; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband as well as two sons, Greg Street and infant Chester Bruce Street; three sisters; and two brothers.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lone Oak chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with the Revs. Doug Hughes and Glenn Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on old U.S. 45. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Saturday until the funeral hour.
