Myrla Alexander

January 12, 1943 — February 20, 2017

Myrla Sue Willis Alexander, 74, of Paducah, Kentucky went home to be with our Lord on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah. She was born on January 12, 1943 to Jack and Fairy Willis in Thompsonville, Illinois. Myrla is one of 12 siblings. Myrla later moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1961 where she met the love of her life, David Alexander. She was of a strong Baptist faith and a firm believer in our Savior Jesus Christ.

Myrla and David had three children of their own, Starla Alexander, Carla Alexander both of Paducah, Kentucky and Darla Martin and husband Walter of Benton, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Eric Alexander and wife Mandy, Brandon Martin and Emily Martin; two great grandchildren, Landon Alexander and Maddie Grace Alexander; three sisters, Joyce Rigsby of Fayette, Alabama, Dorla Sturgill of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Gayla Willis of Sesser, Illinois; four brothers, Charlie Willis of Sesser, Illinois, Curt Willis of Illinois, Gary Willis of Illinois and Terry Willis of Sesser, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Garland Alexander; sister, Marva Roether; three brothers, Jackie Willis, James Willis and Verly Willis; Her parents were Jack Willis and Fairy Evelyn Gosnell Willis.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Rev. John Teodozow officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. unitl 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
