PAUL FELDSIEN, JR

Paducah, KY

Paul E. Feldsien, Jr., 89, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Providence Pointe Healthcare.

Paul was born in Redfield, South Dakota on January 28, 1933, to the late Paul Edward Feldsien, Sr. and Marian Rose (Carr) Feldsien.  Paul graduated with a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Chemistry from Murray State University where he met and married his loving wife of 66 years, Betty Jane (Fields) Feldsien.  He began his career as a chemist and was later at the forefront of his field in computer programing and system process designing at B.F. Goodrich in Calvert City, KY, where he worked for over 30 years.

Paul proudly served our country as a Captain in the United States Army Reserves.  He was a member of the Paducah Lion’s Club and was a former member of the City of Paducah’s Planning and Zoning committee.  Paul was a talented woodworker and enjoyed spending time gardening and fishing - especially with his grandchildren.  He was a member of First Christian Church in Paducah.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane (Fields) Feldsien of Paducah; son, Paul E. Feldsien, III, wife, Lisa, of Paducah; two daughters, Elizabeth Murphy of Littleton, CO, and Caroline Held, husband, Mark, of Bonita Springs, FL; brother, Ron Feldsien, wife, Dee, of Loveland, CO; six grandchildren, Sarah Watkins and Jacob McCallon, both of Paducah, Seth Murphy of Lexington, KY, Kaitlin Murphy of Denver, CO, Erin (Behbehani) David, husband Rafek, of Chicago, IL,  and Chad Behbehani, of Dallas, TX; two great-grandchildren, Piper Watkins and Parker Watkins, both of Paducah; three nephews, Edwin Albritton, of Louisville, KY, Larry Albritton, of Lehigh Acres, FL, and Michael Feldsien of Fort Mill, SC; and 2 nieces Rebecca Cassady of St. Petersburg, FL, and Ronda Atkinson of Bradenton, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 30, 2022, with a memorial service immediately following at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.  Rev. Jae Gottman will be officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Paducah Lions Club.
