Sue LaDon Stroud, 87, of Paducah, died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Sue was born in Cairo, Illinois on May 8, 1931 to Edwin and Ethel Rogers Cammack. She was a bookkeeper for Dr. Walker M. Turner and Peggy’s. In addition, she was assistant activity director at Medco for several years. When her children were younger, she was very involved in their scouting programs. Sue was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of sixty-nine years, George Stroud; children, Doris Becker of Durham, NH and Charles (Ramona) Stroud of Gallatin, TN; grandchildren, Jennifer Dayhoof of Durham, NH, Justin (Heather) Stroud of Huntsville, AL, and Lauren Stroud of Lexington, KY; great-grandchildren, Jackson Brand, Asher Dayhoof, and Anna Franklin Stroud.
Preceding her in death were her sisters, Bonnie Roberson and Doris Henry; great-grandson, William Franklin Stroud; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Jason Browning officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 9:30am Monday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 146 South Friendship Road, Paducah, KY 42003.
