Sylvia Dee Davis, 94, of Paducah died at 12:35 AM Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY.
Ms. Davis was a homemaker and a member of Altona Baptist Church of Calvert City.
She is survived by one son, J.C. Swinford and wife Debbie of Calvert City; three daughters, Joyce Orr and husband Justin of Benton, KY, Sandy Peters and husband Joe of Shelbyville, TN, Dee Dee Whittaker and husband Matt of Paducah; two step-daughters, Karen Painter and Sharon Cargill, both of Paducah; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Davis; parents, Weaver and Edna Mae (Quertermous) McDowell; four brothers; and one step-son, Larry Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2015 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. Roger Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations made to American Cancer Society, 3140 Parisa Drive, Paducah, KY 42003.
