Taddy Potts

Tad Potts, 82, of Memphis, TN formerly of Paducah, KY passed away at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.

He was born in Hickman County, KY. Tad was retired from the Paducah City School System as the Director of Buildings and Grounds. He was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ in Paducah for over 60 years and was a member of the Church of Christ at White Station in Memphis, TN. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Tad was a avid woodworker, specializing in the building of Colonial Furniture.

Tad is survived by his wife, Mildred Wright Potts of Memphis, TN; daughter, Diane Collins and husband Jerry of Memphis, TN; son, Brian Potts and wife Rhonda of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Larry Potts and wife Marilyn of Nashville, TN; 4 grandchildren, Ben Collins and wife Jennifer, Clark Collins and wife Allison, Dr. Jenna Sangkam and husband Johnny and Justin Potts; 1 great grandchild, Scarlet Collins and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Dawson Potts and Melba Angiline Ray Potts.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Mr. Andrew Clausen officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Broadway Church of Christ, 2855 Broadway, Paducah, KY 42001.
