W. Mills

W.J. "Dub" Mills, 88, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2015. Known by friends and family as "Dub", he had a successful 20+ year career with Senach Shoes in St. Louis before establishing Mills Shoes Enterprises, Inc. in Southern Illinois in 1980.

Dub was a dedicated husband, family man, spiritualist and horse enthusiast. He will always be remembered for his contagious smile, kind demeanor and love of all people.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Margaret J. Mills and is survived by his current wife; Kathryn S. Mills, one son and daughter as well as six grandchildren.

A visitation for Dub will be held Tuesday October 27, 2015 in the chapel of The Manor at Steeplechase on Cool Springs Boulevard in Franklin, TN beginning at 2:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. A graveside service will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah, KY at 1:30 on October 29.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested making a contribution to the Alzheimer Association or The Nashville Rescue Mission.
